Ginger Shot

Ingredients: 

  • 150g Ginger

  • 4 large Oranges

  • 1 Grapefruit

  • 1 Lime

  • 1 Apple (optional)

  • 1 tsp Turmeric

  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

  • 1 tsp Honey

  • Water

Step 1

  1. Peel or cut the ginger, oranges, grapefruit, lime, and apple (if using).

  2. Place all the fruits and ginger into a blender (such as a Nutribullet or juicer).

Step 2 

  1. Fill the blender with water until it covers all the fruit and a bit extra.

  2. Add turmeric, black pepper, and honey to the blender.

Step 3 

  1. Blend until the mixture is smooth.

  2. Strain the mixture twice to remove any pulp. Add more water if a thinner consistency is desired.

Step 4 

Slice chorizo into thin, pieces. In a pan, fry the chorizo slices in a touch of olive oil until they are golden, slightly crispy texture. Once done, set them aside.

Assemble

To assemble your dish, pour the cheese sauce into the base of a bowl. Add the corn on top and generously layer with the golden, crispy chorizo. For an extra burst of flavour, drizzle some of the chorizo oil on the creation. Finish off with an extra sprinkle of pepper for a final touch.
